It has been awhile since I have blogged! Classes have been crazy and midterms started today, so I am already looking forward to the weekend. Instead of studying like I should have this past weekend (sorry mom) I took day trips to Sevilla and Ronda, if you couldn`t already tell by the title. The trip to Sevilla was with my program and the trip to Ronda was a trip with the CLM, where I take classes. Both were absolutely beautiful! I ate paella with my friends, saw the beautiful Alcazar, was in awe of the Plaza de España, and roamed the city. It did feel kind of rushed and I didn`t see as much as I would have liked, but it was a beautiful, sunny day to explore. I attempted to study on the bus there and back, but there is always something to look at!
After arriving back on Saturday I got some rest and headed out early to catch the bus to Ronda. We almost missed the bus we made it to Ronda and it was everything I imagined. The town was very cute and small, but very scenic. We saw the Plaza de Torros, where they have bull fights, and the Puente Nuevo. I have seen the Puente Nuevo so many times on Pinterest that is was surreal actually being there. We walked up a thirst and appetite so the sangria search began, however we were unlucky and just decided to rest our feet in the park nearby. A fun fact about Ronda is that Ernest Hemingway and Orson Wells spent a lot of time there, so much that they have streets named after them! Overall it was great weekend and I am so glad I took the time to go to Ronda. It is probably my favorite city in Spain so far, besides Granada of course.
I'd rather splurge on a good meal than a nice hotel, wine than water and plane tickets than club covers. Traveling and eating are my two favorite things, so follow my journey to see where I go and eat next! I'm just living my best life.
