My break was the last week in March and it had to be the most relaxing week ever. I decided to stay in Spain for the break and go to the beaches nearby. But first, I went to Málaga with my friend and her mom. Málaga is normally the place we all use to fly out of since their plane tickets are cheaper than Granada's airport. Therefore, I figured I should actually see their city and not just their airport! We left early Saturday morning to get there in the afternoon and it was, once again, a beautiful place to be. There is definitely more to Málaga than the airport, I guarantee it.
To start off, we sat down and ate our bocadillos on a little bench. We also ate some really good cookies my friend's mom made too! Since coming here benches have literally been my second home and I don't know how I will cope without them being everywhere next semester. Anyway, we chilled out and enjoyed the view from the hotel before walking the little boardwalk. We noticed a lot of police around so we assumed there was a government official or someone famous in our midst...and it turned out to be Antonio Banderas. Ya know, the cool dad from Spy Kids! He had a gala in the area and I clearly saw him, but it didn't dawn on me who he was until after I walked away...therefore I missed my chance to be a Spy Kid *sighs.*
Once I got over the fact that I brushed past Antonio Banderas we all took a nice boat ride on the water. I loved every minute of it and even took a little nap too after enjoying some free sangria. By the end of the day I was tired and had to walk super fast to get back to the bus station. I was nervous about walking there by myself, but I had a map and I found my way! My first relaxing day for Spring Break was done and I took a another nap on the bus home.
I'd rather splurge on a good meal than a nice hotel, wine than water and plane tickets than club covers. Traveling and eating are my two favorite things, so follow my journey to see where I go and eat next! I'm just living my best life.
